Queens Park Medical Centre is a privately owned and accredited family practice with five GPs. Our Vision is to deliver timely, effective treatment with a holistic approach to care. It is also our Mission that everyone who comes leaves feeling better.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and capable part time Medical Receptionist to join our team. As part of our close knit team, every member plays a role in delivering on our Vision and Mission to enhance the health of the local community and provide positive patient outcomes.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Principal Duties:
- General reception duties which include:
- Welcoming patients and checking them in
- Collecting and entering patient details into the software
- Schedule patient appointments and patient billing
- Attending to patients’ queries and needs
- Ensuring Reception and Waiting Room is safe, clean and presents well
- Managing phone inquiries and appointments
- General Administrative duties which include:
- Manage medical records efficiently and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Scanning, faxing, mail and filing
- Support doctors in administration duties, such as, collating of reports & documents
- Support management in ensuring an efficient, safe and well-run practice
Essential Criteria:
- Unrestricted ability to work in Australia
- Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist in a General Practice setting will be required
- Attention to customer service and commitment to high standard of care
- Personable telephone manner & able to communicate well
- Proficiency with Medical Software - preferably Pracsoft & Medical Director
- The ability to work independently and reliably with minimum supervision; demonstrating ability to perform under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload
- Also able to work as part of a team; demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, attention to detail and team spirit.
- Willingness to step up in support of other team members and cover for each other
