About us

West Coast Medical Centers have four clinics located in Currambine, Ocean reef, Clarkson and Two rocks. We have the opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team available to cover Annual leave, sick leave and provide assistance when short staffed. Experience in the Medical industry would be an advantage, but not essential, customer service experience is required for this role. 

Our Practice opening hours range from 6:45am - 7:00pm Monday to Friday 

Weekends from approximately 7:00am - 5:00pm Saturday and Sunday

***You must be available to travel between different clinics as and when required***

Qualifications & experience

• Minimum 1 year’s experience in Medical Receptionist role or similar
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Intermediate knowledge of medical software; (Best Practice) or similar 
• Customer Service

Tasks & responsibilities.

• Greet patients and visitors professionally
• Manage telephone inquiries efficiently
• Schedule appointments 
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of reception and waiting areas
• Process Medicare billings and payments accurately
• Monitor and replenish stationery and office supplies as needed
• Adhere to policies and procedures, reporting necessary changes
• Assist with day-to-day banking 
• Troubleshooting / Problem solving
• General office duties such as scanning, photocopying and emailing
• Friendly verbal & written communication skills

• Full working rights in Australia
• Familiarity with Best Practice Software preferred
• Previous experience in a General Practice setting desirable
