Bluff Point Medical Centre (BPMC) is a well established busy medical centre located in Geraldton, we are looking for an enthusiastic medical administrator to join our expanding Centre.
BPMC is a busy practice that has 5 GPs consulting from the centre all providing a variety of services including skin medicine, travel clinic, anaesthetics to the hospitals and women's health.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and committed applicant to join our practice team. The successful applicant will be someone who enjoys customer service and enjoys being part of a close knit team.
The position is a Part Time role 3 days a week and must be able to do Thursdays and Fridays as 2 of those days. Also needs to have some flexibility around coverage for other staff leave etc.
The Role
- Provide a high standard of administrative support to our patients and GP's
- Answering telephone calls, scheduling of appointments and enquiries
- Welcoming and greeting patients
- Knowledge of general practice Medicare billings preferred
- General administrative/reception tasks associated to the role
- All other general daily administrative duties as required for the role.
Experience and Key Responsibilities
- Previous experience in a receptionist role preferable but not essential as training will be provided to the right applicant
- Previous experience working in a similar healthcare role desirable
- Experience with Best Practice software desirable. Proficient computer skills essential.
- Time management and organisational skills essential
- Answering phone enquiries in a polite and helpful manner in a timely manner
- Triaging patients and monitoring waiting room
