About The Role
As an administrative clerk within our Medical Records department, your role involves supporting the organised and efficient functioning of Health Information Services.
Joining our team and reporting to the Health Information Manager, you'll work closely with a friendly, tight-knit group that thrives on teamwork and fostering a welcoming, collaborative environment.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
- Addressing and resolving queries from both internal and external Health Professionals
- Handling Medico Legal requests within specified deadlines
- Preparing records for forthcoming Theatre lists
- Compiling Medical Records of discharged patients as needed
- Accurately filing Medical Records and correspondence
- Retrieving and providing requested Medical Records
- Managing the archiving and ‘culling’ for Medical Records
- Document control
Your Skills and Experience
- Enthusiasm for patient care and a commitment to delivering customer-focused services at a high standard.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues, patients and families.
- Capability to handle demanding situations and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Proven initiative-taking when required.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and literacy.
- Previous experience in a Medical Records department or similar clerical role within a healthcare setting.
- While prior experience in a private hospital setting is preferred, it is not essential.

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
