We have a fantastic opportunity within our fundraising team for a Supporter Care & Regular Giving Officer to join us in this full time permanent position. Location can be Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra or Hobart where our offices are located.

You will be reporting to the Fundraising Manager and work closely with colleagues within the Fundraising portfolio and Finance teams.

The Supporter Care & Regular Giving Officer is responsible for nurturing and strengthening relationships with Diabetes Australia’s supporters, and helping to grow supporter engagement, retention and revenue, particularly in the area of Regular Giving but also new supporters and mid-value supporters.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development, execution and evaluation of all direct marketing communications, including cash appeals, acquisition, and retention activities across single and Regular Giving donors for the purpose of maximising fundraising income in line with the goals and strategies of Diabetes Australia.
- Meet income targets and monitor and report on income and expenditure.
- Implement and refine donor procedures for all aspects of Regular Giving program to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Regularly review data health checks and analysis of data segmentation strategies and prepare data extractions.
- Manage the planning and delivery of multi-channelled donor engagement strategy to ensure regular reporting and impact is provided to donors as well as collaboration with internal departments to cross promote opportunities for donors and supporters to get involved.
- Collaboration with Marketing and Communications team in the development of multi-channelled acquisition strategy, including digital, lead generations and emerging channels.
- Regularly scan the industry to benchmark activity, track trends and identify opportunities to grow fundraising revenue.
- Represent the organisation at appropriate functions and events and act as a Diabetes Australia ambassador. Some after hours, travel and weekend work will be required for this role.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent with demonstrated experience in fundraising, marketing, communication, or sales role preferred.
- Experience in implementing Regular Giving initiatives essential, as well as community fundraising events, and/or digital fundraising desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience in using a CRM, such as Microsoft Dynamics to extract data, reporting etc desirable.
- Sound verbal and written communication, budget, and project management skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including supporters.
- High attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
- Results focussed and target driven with a passion for fundraising and achieving growth targets.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and meet deadlines.
- Experience writing compelling and engaging content, desirable.
- A genuine empathy for people living with all forms of diabetes and their carers.
- Ability to work independently, to take direction and to work as part of a team.
