Medical Records Officer
We are seeking an experiencedMedical Records Officerto join Ramsay Clinics Northside and Cremorne in a permanent part time capacity (48 hours per fortnight). Days of work are negotiable with a view of employment covering 3 days per week.

About The Role
As an administrative officer in our Medical Records department, you will assist in all activities related to maintaining the Health Information Services in an organised and efficient manner.
The successful applicant will be required to work at Ramsay Clinic Northside (St Leonards) and Ramsay Clinic Cremorne.
Reporting to the Regional Coding Manager & Educator, your duties and responsibilities will involve but are not limited to;
- Answering and actioning queries from internal and external customers;
- Compiling Medical Records of discharged patents as required;
- Filing Medical Records and correspondence accurately;
- Seeking, locating and obtaining Medical Records as requested and;
- Archiving and ‘culling’ of Medical Records
Your Skills and Experience
You will have a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused services. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will assist in effectively working in a team environment and maintaining positive relationships with staff, patients and families.
- Ability to cope with demanding situations and strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to respect privacy and confidentiality
- Demonstrate initiative when required
- Intermediate computer knowledge / literacy
- Previous experience in a Medical Records department (or other clerical position within a health care setting)
- Previous experience in a private hospital setting desired but not essential

About Our Clinics
Ramsay Clinic Northside & Ramsay Clinic Cremorne offer acute inpatient services, neurostimulation services and a comprehensive range of day programs for people requiring treatment for mood disorders, schizophrenia, psychosis, personality disorders, eating disorders, combat-related PTSD, drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation. Our dedicated Youth and Young Adult Mental Health Service provides inpatient care and day programs to young people aged 14 to 25 years old. Ramsay Clinic Northside is well-equipped to support and care for the mental health needs of Greater Sydney.
Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
