An exciting opportunity has become available for a permanent part-time Medical Scientist – in the Murarrie Lab team.
About the role
The preferred applicant will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work without supervision. The core laboratory performs urgent and routine testing in Biochemistry, Haematology and Coagulation. Relevant experience and knowledge of blood film morphology will be highly regarded. The position requires availability between 5 am and 1 am including participation in a weekend, on-call and public holiday roster.
You will be required to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure that our medical practitioners and their patients are at the centre of everything you do.
To be considered for the role you will need to possess the following:
- An AIMS accredited Medical Laboratory Science degree or equivalent.
- High attention to detail and experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team
- The ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services
- Excellent communication skills
