The Australian Water Association (AWA) is a prominent non-profit member organisation dedicated to promoting the sustainable management and use of water resources in Australia. It serves as a leading advocate, knowledge hub, and networking platform for professionals and stakeholders across the water sector.
About the Role
In this role you will drive the acquisition and retention of members, ensuring they value and benefit from AWA services to increase overall engagement. You will collaborate with specialist networks, committees, and other associated groups to strategically deliver member services, activities, and programs within the state.
About You
We're seeking a customer-centric candidate passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and relationship-building. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Drive a proactive and service-oriented approach to membership growth and retention.
- Support branch and specialist network committees to enhance member experience through programs and events.
- Be the key point of contact via phone and email for members and stakeholders.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to support strategic goals and improve member experience.
- Manage budgets to meet targets for membership, sponsorship, and events.
- Assist in communication and marketing activities.
- Conduct reporting, maintain accurate member data and perform other ad hoc duties.
- Experience within a membership, customer experience or stakeholder engagement role.
- Experience in acquisition and retention of customers/members.
- Passionate in delivering exceptional customer service.
- Professional, personable, and motivated with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and translate data into member insights.
