Australia’s Golden Outback is the peak regional tourism organisation for over 54% of WA driving the promotion and tourism development of the region to stimulate visitation and economic growth.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to play a key role in the communication with our members and stakeholders, implementation of marketing activities and managing the office administration.

Membership
- Implement the Membership Engagement Plan.
- Monitor and control the member and stakeholder databases.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to members.
- Coordinate the procurement and retention of members.
- Liaise with members and potential new members on membership packages and other opportunities to maximise participation and increased engagement with Australia’s Golden Outback.
- Maintain regular communication with Australia’s Golden Outback membership, including the delivery of regular newsletters and updates.
- Maintain a database of non-member businesses to assist in the acquisition of new members.
- Update member and destination content on Australia’s Golden Outback website.
- Contribute to the development of member capability building initiatives.
Marketing
- As directed by the Marketing Manager, assist in the implementation of destination marketing campaigns, activities and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate membership collaborative marketing opportunities.
- Coordinate industry trade show events in consultation with the Marketing Manager.
- Coordinate the production of the annual holiday planner in consultation with the Marketing Manager.
- Manage AGO’s photo library and source appropriate imagery and videography for assigned projects.
- Maintain inventory of assets and creative display material.
Office Administration
- Management and co-ordination of all office administration, with the support of a bookkeeper.
- Maintenance and preparation of financial records, invoice processing and corporate credit card acquittals.
- Liaising with the Chairperson, coordinate all Board meetings including preparation of agendas, reports, financials, taking/distribution of minutes, venue and travel arrangements.
- Answer incoming telephone calls.
- Support the Chairperson of the Board in Board and governance duties.
- Review, recommend, design and implement office administrative systems and procedures.
Requirements
Essential
- 2 years or more office administration experience.
- 2 years or more experience in a Marketing or Membership role.
- High level of written, verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate activities and show initiative.
- Able to proactively work alone, as well as with others and in teams.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office software, other IT systems & software.
Desirable
- Experience in the tourism industry and understanding of the tourism sector.
- Creativity and promotional skills.
- Knowledge of Australia’s Golden Outback region’s attractions and experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in managing website content management systems.
