As our Membership Officer, you'll be assisting and supporting their exclusive membership program.
The position would suit an up-and-coming tourism professional or recent graduate looking to begin their career in the tourism industry. Training will be provided for the right applicant.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for existing and potential member queries and services, supporting the end to end membership life cycle
- Ad hoc admin duties
- Assist tourism operators to understand, interpret and apply the Quality Tourism Framework accreditation program to their business, including Star Ratings and other sector-specific programs
- Provide coaching, mentoring and advice to tourism operators relating to accreditation, marketing, e-tourism, workforce development, business planning and customer service
- Conduct online and on-site accreditation assessments with tourism businesses
- Maintain accurate and current records in relevant accreditation and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases
- Assist with WA events, policy, and training and development programs
- Ability to travel independently within WA as required
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Tourism, Training or related discipline (Preferred)
- Knowledge of tourism industry relationships, issues and networks
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful membership strategies
- Possession of a current A class drivers' licence
