Join our team in Albany and provide men with reliable support in an environment where they are comfortable. In this role, you will provide assessment and short term counselling for men, with a particular emphasis on fatherhood/parenting and family relationships. 

Here, you can bring your specialist experience and thrive in an environment filled with learning opportunities so you can continuously develop your skills. This is a part time (0.6 FTE) ongoing opportunity.


What you will bring

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated counselling experience in a therapeutic setting
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients with complex presentations
  • Experience working in culturally safe and responsive ways with clients from Aboriginal and other diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication
  • Intermediate computer skills and the use of Microsoft Office Software
  • Theoretical knowledge of current family counselling literature/models
  • Knowledge of victim and perpetrator issues in Family and Domestic Violence

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • A competitive salary from $92,615  per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation 
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
