Occupational Therapist
Wyndham Clinic is a purpose built private Mental Health service in Werribee, offering a range of inpatient and outpatient therapy programs. Inpatient units include a general adult Mental Health service and a drug and alcohol service. Outpatient programs are based in CBT, ACT, DBT, and alcohol and drug relapse prevention.
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join the Wyndham Clinic Therapy Team.
The roles involve providing quality, evidence-based therapy to clients engaged in both inpatient and outpatient group therapy programs, as well as Mental Health assessment and brief interventions.

- Competence and/or interest in CBT, Mindfulness, ACT, and/or DBT skills

- Risk assessment, crisis management, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
- Passion and dedication to tailoring therapeutic practice to improve client outcomes
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Current AHPRA Registration
- A current Working with Children’s Certificate and
- Police Check
Desirable Qualities
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with functional assessments
- Experience in providing assessment and evidence-based therapies to individuals and groups with a variety of clinical presentations, preferably in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Demonstrated knowledge in equipment prescription
- Knowledge and skills in developing and delivering therapeutic group programs
- Previous clinical experience working in private Mental Health care
- Demonstrated experience in implementing sensory approaches in a Mental Health setting
The current permanent Occupational Therapist role has 0.6 FTE (3 days per week) available.
