POSITION PURPOSE
The Mental Health Clinician will work with clients towards their goals in a client centred, recovery focused, flexible and holistic manner. Treatment is provided one on one. Clients with high prevalence conditions may be referred for brief psychological interventions (psycho-education, relaxation techniques, cognitive-behavioural therapy, skills training, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy). Services will ordinarily be delivered at Sunraysia Community Health Services. Occasionally, services may be delivered at the client’s home, in other community settings or via telehealth.
The ideal candidate will have qualifications in either Mental Health Nursing or Social Work, with demonstrated experience with MENTAL HEALTH risk assessment, crisis planning, relapse preventions, recovery planning and psycho education.
