About the roleThe Mental Health Hub Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for leading and coordinating multiple programs. These programs have been designed to improve the mental wellbeing and contribute to the prevention of suicide of people in North Queensland. The Mental Health Hub Coordinator will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the success of the programs. The Mental Health Hub Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating programs for:
- Commonwealth psychosocial support
- Selectwellbeing groups
- Mental Health Hub
The Mental Health Hub Coordinator’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate several block funded programs
- Ensure services offered under each program can be leveraged to offer consumers multiple pathways which support them being in control of their own wellbeing
- Co-design group activities to meet the contract deliverables across each program
- Collaborate with external providers, to deliver their services through the Mental Health Hub
- Seek new opportunities by successfully obtaining additional funding contracts and establishing fee for service programs
- Promote program awareness to the public, promoting a culture where everyone is welcome and invited to attend
- Ensure group activities are scheduled to engage with consumer needs and availability, including operating 7 days a week and evenings.
- Increasing the number of Mental Health professionals contracted by selectability and ensuring Mental Health Professionals are practicing from the Mental Health Hub and offering Medicare bulk billing services
- Ensuring the KPI’s are fully delivered for each project contract
- Ensuring GP’s are aware of the services offered via the Mental Health Hub and are referring consumers to the services
- Building relationships with key stakeholders in the community, coordinating collaboration and resource exchange within the community
- Supporting and partnering with selectability’s other Mental Health Hubs including delivering outreach services as needed by any funding contract
- Initiating and participating in community events
- Attracting, retaining and developing and excellent team
- Managing the financials and reporting for block funded projects
- A passion for Mental Health across regional Queensland
- Relevant qualifications in Mental Health highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the Mental Health and/or suicide prevention sector
- A commitment to best practice
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- A Positive Notice Working with Children (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker screen clearance, or Yellow Card Exemption
- Full drivers licence
- Roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
