Arafmi Ltd is a not for profit organisation providing support for families, carers and people with Mental Health needs or psychosocial disability, for more than 40 years. Our staff consist of experienced Mental Health workers, passionate about making a difference to the lives of people we work alongside and their families, to provide support in different ways including accommodation support services, and individual personal support services. We are passionate about making a difference to the lives of our clients and their families living with day to day impacts of mental illness.
About the role
Support Co-ordinators at Arafmi ensure a mix of supports are used to increase a participant's capacity to maintain relationships, manage service delivery tasks, live more independently and be included in the community.
They also help build the participant's ability to exercise choice and control, to coordinate their supports and access social & recreational activities.

Skills and experience
- Prior Support Coordination will be highly advantageous.
- High level knowledge and experience in the Mental Health and disability support sectors at a state and national level.
- Previous experience in meeting KPI's ad meeting deadlines..
- Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn NDIS Portal/PRODA.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and its implementation to date.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects within community-based support services.
- High level communication and report writing skills and commitment to working collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Ability to independently navigate and sustain necessary supports required for client crisis management
- Strong written and computer skills for the recording of notes, gathering evidence, writing reports, correspondence and other documents
- A self-starter, self-motivated person who can work independently and takes pride in delivering high quality services
- Sound computer skills and proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of applications
Successful applicants will also require the following;
- It is mandatory for all employees to undergo criminal history screening in order to hold a Yellow/Blue Card
- Possess an NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
