Role overview:
- Consultation with local people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds and relevant stakeholders in the Townsville community to identify needs.
- Development of content for a closed group program that supports positive Mental Health and wellbeing outcomes for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse young people, to be implemented by the local Family Mental Health Support Service (FMHSS).
- Development of materials, including a Facilitator manual, for local staff to use when implementing the group program.
- Development of evaluation tool.
- Ensure content is evidence-informed.
Requirements:
- Ideally a completed Bachelor in Social Work, Psychology or other related discipline (will also consider a relevant Diploma or Cert IV with extensive experience)
- Previous experience in providing support to individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Sound understanding of the experience, challenges and strengths of individuals with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of effective group activities
- Project Management experience
- High level administrative skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card/WWCC/WWVP
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
