Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality consumer focused, individually tailored, clinical rehabilitation services to support the recovery process for people with Mental Health problems, consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
If you are an overseas qualified Social Worker, you are required to have your qualifications assessed by the AASW to meet the position criteria.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

Selection Criteria * Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligible for membership with AASW. Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Occupational Therapy or Psychology (with a minimum four-year degree with a major in Psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia) and registered with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated core competency skills in Mental Health Rehabilitation and demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group clinical rehabilitation services. , e.g. Living skills assessment and training, vocational interventions, health promotion and education, motivational interviewing and psychological strategies.
- Demonstrated commitment to a strengths and consumer focused, recovery oriented approach, practice rehabilitation principles, current models of practice and associated interventions to support a person's recovery
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery, promote community linkage and partnership building.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
- Computer skills and the capacity to use health information systems
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
- Current NSW Driver's license.
