Job description

Become a Kelly Club Program Coordinator!

About Us

Kelly Club provides Before School Care, After School Care and Holiday Care programs throughout Victoria. Our aim is to provide not just "a childcare facility", but to run programs in a safe environment that entertain and inspire our future generations.

Our goal is to give children opportunities to do the things they love and enjoy in a supportive and encouraging environment. We use a professional program model that is fun and promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development.

Programs are focused around sports, cooking, games, discovery, and arts and craft activities as well as relaxation time around a busy life at school. Children are encouraged, educated and entertained during their time in our programs.

Kelly Club is closely aligned with Kelly Sports. Kelly Sports has been providing a range of curricular and extracurricular sporting programs for children in Australia since 1994.

The Role

As the OSHC Coordinator you will be managing programs and delivering activities, on a weekly basis, to school age children at our client's school in Spotswood, Victoria, as well as supervising a small team of Educators. The school is surrounded by trees, is well equipped with a large space provided for Kelly Club programs and the children are collaborative, respectful and enthusiastic. The school does a great job of developing relationships with families and as the OSHC Coordinator you'll be friendly and communicative with the children's families as an extension of the school's inbuilt culture.

You'll deliver a remarkable service to support families and an average of 12 to 26 children, per session currently, in Before School and After School Care Programs, and holiday programs.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the essential purpose of the Coordinator is to deliver a fun and interesting program. This will be achieved by providing an inclusive and supportive environment where children are safe, engaged and well supervised.

This is a permanent part time position for just under 38 hours per week, distributed as follows:
7.00am - 9.00am and 3.00pm - 6.30pm shifts, and 10.5 additional hours to do administrative tasks. (Monday to Friday)
In addition to the hourly rate, a split shift allowance will apply : $19 per day when split shift is worked.

Applicants who do not answer all the questions might not be considered.

You will:

  • Develop, plan and implement a stimulating, educational child care program
  • Maintain a child safe environment for all children
  • Assist children in routine tasks
  • Manage and develop your team
  • Communicate effectively with staff, families and children
  • Complete general administrative tasks
