An exciting opportunity presents itself for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our Mentoring Services team. As a people-centric person with a natural flair for mentoring, negotiating and mediating, you will use your skills to provide phone mentoring support to clients in a role where no two days are alike.
As a Phone Mentor, you will work within a fast-paced team of dedicated individuals to provide over the phone mentoring to Apprentices and employers on a range of industry, workplace and personal issues.
In this role you will be required to:
- Undertake risk assessments of clients to identify issues early
- Provide phone and online mentoring support to clients to address issues arising throughout training contract
- Set up and maintain Apprenticeship Management Plans (AMPs)
- Ensure databases and AMPs are maintained accurately, compliantly and in a timely manner
- Undertake completion contact calls
- Maintain mentoring caseloads and associated outcomes
- Promote Australian Apprenticeships to prospective clients

You will also possess:
- A willingness to work with a diverse range of individuals, including school aged children and young adults
- The ability to provide Apprentices with sound guidance in drawing from life experience, workplace. knowledge, values and academic achievement
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle situations in a patient and professional manner
- Problem solving and negotiation skills
- Understanding/knowledge of apprenticeships and traineeships
- The ability to work to and deliver on KPIs
