Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic pricing decisions? API Wholesale is seeking a talented Merchandise Pricing Analyst to join our Product & Replenishment team. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analysing pricing insights, developing sophisticated pricing models, and implementing pricing strategies aligned with our business objectives. Your efforts will directly impact our profitability and competitive positioning in the market.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Head of Merchandise Planning, your main duties involve delving into extensive data sets of pricing insights, deciphering their meaning, and utilizing them to construct advanced pricing models that drive pricing strategies in line with organizational goals. You'll be tasked with efficiently overseeing sales deals, including Supplier Funded Deals and API Funded Deals, as well as managing all rebates to enhance margin optimization.

This role entails vigilant monitoring of pricing adjustments, orchestrating profit improvement through coordinated strategies for inflation and investment buys, and guaranteeing adherence to governmental regulations and internal policies. Additionally, you'll be conducting thorough examinations of customer behaviors and competitor analyses, ensuring that pricing strategies remain relevant and impactful through ongoing assessment and refinement.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in pricing and sales analysis, preferably in a wholesale business environment.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical modelling techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI & MicroStrategy is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field preferred.
