About Casey ACIS
In February 2019, the Casey Acute Community Interventions Service {ACIS} separated into 2 teams to better align ourselves with the Continuing Care services and improve Consumer outcomes. Both Pakenham and Cranbourne ACIS are currently located at Casey Hospital, Berwick. There are future plans to move both teams to community locations within their identified catchment areas.
Casey Acute Community Interventions Service {ACIS} stream includes the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team {CATT} and Mental Heath Hospital in the Home {MH HITH} which provides community based treatment within the Casey/Cardinia region.
About The Role
We currently have positions available for Senior clinicians to be part of our growing Casey ACIS team. these are full time or part time ongoing roles. This role will draw on your knowledge in Mental Health legislation and policy. this will include intake, mental state, risk assessment and crisis management. Client contact may occur at the clinic, via Telehealth or at the consumers own accommodation as required. This position will work a roster over seven days per week, AM and PM shifts, in accordance with core service demands.
This position requires an individual with skills which will enable them to liaise closely with a number of inpatient and community agencies to ensure best practice and care is provided. This will ensure a comprehensive assessment, collaborative treatment design and appropriate referral of consumers presenting to the team. At times, this role may also incorporate working within the Emergency Psychiatric Services {EPS} from Casey Emergency Department.

You have substantial experience in community mental health, EPS or case management. You are capable of working independently, as well as consulting and collaborating with others. Your strengths are building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of recovery focused care to all consumers. What you Need:
- Current Authority to Practice from AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Required a Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing-or completion of a specialist undergraduate Psychiatric Nursing program or specialist post basic course of training which led to registration as a division 3 Nurse.
- Have a minimum of 5 years full time equivalent Mental health post graduate qualifications experience in Mental Health Nursing.
