Imtrade CropScience – Microbiologist

Imtrade CropScience is a privately-owned formulator and supplier specialising in crop protection and promotion products. We operate from a custom-built facility at Kwinana Beach in Western Australia and supply a comprehensive range of products via our national network of sales and distribution centres.

The microbiologist is critical operationally, and to the future growth of business. To this end we seek to appoint a tertiary qualified microbiologist. Experience in a production or analysis environment is mandatory.

Imtrade CropScience is willing to support the right person in development of further complementary skills, though only those with a strong knowledge base and a can-do attitude will be considered. 

The Role:

We seek an experienced microbiologist to head up an exciting greenfields project at our Western Australian headquarters. The successful candidate will establish a soil probiotic research facility. This will investigate biological augmentations that boost broadacre sustainability. Initial tasks will centre on project management including building analytical and capability within our existing laboratory. This will extend eventually to commercial realisation of our products at full scale

Mandatory Requirements:

Willingness to become immersed in and live this project

Tertiary qualifications in microbiology or an associated discipline 

Commercial experience in industrial fermentation and associated production

Ability to balance proactivity and imagination with the requirement to work collaboratively, responsibly and intelligently 

A committed approach to OHS and quality management frameworks

Ideal Qualities:

Flexibility and self-drive

Exposure to commercial scale commodity, chemical, brewing/fermentation operations

Broad laboratory experience
