About the Role
The Analyst is part of the team responsible for regulatory reporting of BOQ’s liquidity and interest rate risk in the banking book (IRRBB) exposures. The team also owns the market risk system (QRM), including model configuration and documentation, and is responsible for the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO) secretarial duties. The Analyst assists the Manager, Treasury Middle Office in developing reporting in line with policy and regulations, and ensuring all reporting is accurate and delivered in a timely manner as per APRA requirements.
Key Responsibilities may include but not be limited to the following:
• Daily liquidity and IRRBB regulatory reporting and periodic reporting and to APS 117 and APS 210
• Measure and monitor risk exposure against approved policies and risk appetite triggers and limits
• Daily system reconciliation and data validation, ensuring data is complete and accurate
• Engage with greater Treasury, Market Risk and Finance to address data issues, identify emerging risks and ensure they appropriately configured in the reporting framework
• Keep up to date with regulatory changes and ensure they are captured in the reporting framework
• Perform ALCO secretarial duties as required
• Build sound and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders across the Bank

About you
To be successful in this role we will be looking for a candidate with the following skills and experience:
• Relevant Middle Office, Market Risk, Treasury, Financial Markets or Product Control experience is desirable
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance, Mathematics or Economics
• Experience in banking & finance and financial markets is desirable
• Sound spreadsheet skills including competent macro and SQL writing ability
• Sound quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, proactively checking output to ensure accuracy
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Competent writing skills, including system documentation
• Strong sense of ownership of output from areas of responsibility
• Sound product knowledge
• Experience of Value at Risk and scenario analysis is desirable
• Sound understanding of APRA requirements related APS117 and APS210 is desirable
• Sound understanding of key business drivers and key success factors in business to be able to interpret P&L based on risk factors
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and to develop creative, commercially viable solutions to business problems is desirable
