- The Coffs Clinical Network (CCN) Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) Manager is responsible for leading clinical service teams to provide woman centred care within Coffs Clinical Network Maternity Services.
- To maximise the health for women and their families accessing the maternity services at Coffs Harbour Health Campus (CHHC) & Macksville hospital, using a multi-disciplinary collaborative team approach.
- Effectively manage the day-to-day team accountabilities and workflow of the Midwifery Group Practice at CHHC and the Midwifery model of care service and Maternity Antenatal and postnatal service at Macksville.
- To ensure the Midwifery Models of care provide primary health care and promote optimal health outcomes within a woman and family centred service. Analyse and use appropriate data to inform woman and family centred care service delivery to assist in the effective management of human and material resources within the Midwifery Models of Care.
- Ensure women centred care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries and reflects evidence based and best practice knowledge.
- Create a workplace environment that encourages collaboration within and across health care teams to optimise outcomes for women accessing MGP services.
- Liaise with relevant services and units both within and external to health service to ensure effective coordinated service delivery that meets the needs of women.
- Provide a high standard of nursing/midwifery care and clinical leadership that reflects the use of evidence based best practice outcomes in accordance with the legal; and ethical requirements of AHPRA, NSW Nurses Act and policies, procedures and guidelines of MNCLHD and ACM guidelines.
- Manage the resources of the CCN MGP to achieve both budget and service delivery targets, whilst maximising service delivery outcomes for women.
- Act as a primary interface between senior managers of the service and front-line staff to support two-way communication through the organisational hierarchy.

- Registered Midwife with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA and relevant tertiary qualifications in clinical leadership and management (or working towards and substantially completed).
- Extensive knowledge, understanding and management experience of midwifery led models of care and/or maternity services.
- Demonstrated ability to build a cohesive service focussed team through coaching, mentoring and guiding team members.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts and overcome resistance when initiating and implementing change strategies within a team.
- Demonstrated ability to apply and share professional expertise to immediate work and the work of the team to enhance service delivery.
- Demonstrated the ability to plan for and act on issues quickly, decisively and effectively those that either enhance service delivery or manage situations impacting on achievement of service delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice and follow through with the change management associated to improve care.
- Unrestricted drivers licence for use within NSW and willingness to travel.
