Aeris Resources is a mid-tier base and precious metals producer. Its copper-dominant portfolio comprises three operating assets, a long-life development project and a highly prospective exploration portfolio, spanning Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
About the role:
The purpose of this role is to assist in providing support to all mine operations to accurately budget, forecast and report financial results of the business. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Accountant you will be responsible for assisting in meeting the external and internal financial reporting requirements and managing the financial planning and forecasting of the site. This role is suitable to Finance/Accounting graduate with 1-3 years experience.
What you will do:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements and related reports.
- Assist in the Budgeting and Forecasting processes
o Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
o Contribute to the forecasting process and variance analysis. - Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors.
About you:
- Financial qualification (Bachelor level in Business, Commerce or Accounting) and working towards CA/CPA or equivalent.
- 3+ years of post-qualification accounting (preferably in the mining industry).
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with measurable outcomes.
- A willingness to be part of a winning team that delivers together.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen.
- Methodical, accurate and timely preparation of data, report writing and management information

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations is a long life copper operation located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales that commenced production in 2005. One hundred percent owned and operated by Aeris Resources, Tritton forms the cornerstone of Aeris copper production. Tritton comprises an underground mining complex feeding a 1.8 million tonne per annum conventional processing plant. Copper concentrate produced at the operation is railed to the Port of Newcastle for export to customers internationally. The current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
