Our client is a leading mining organsiation operating in regional NSW. As part of the Finance team, you will be based on-site and responsible for providing management accounting, reporting and analysis. You will support and add to the organisation's consistent performance through delivery of accurate and timely information in accordance with business requirements.
Some additional responsibilities would include:
- Prepare and provide management, financial and cost analysis reports to the management team to identify business improvement opportunities.
- Maintain financial systems and policies in accordance with company policies and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and analyse reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion and in accordance with aligned goals and deadlines.
- Implement, identify, and develop efficiencies in cost control and reporting to improve operational performance.
- Provide support to the business for all month end accounting including preparation, analysis and reporting requirements.
- Assist with internal/external audit activity and queries.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Business/Commerce.
- CA/CPA qualification is highly regarded.
- 3+ years' experience in a hands-on commercial environment (mining or heavy industry experience is highly desirable).
- Advanced skill with Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Ability to work as part of a self-managing, multi skilled team.
- Advanced literacy, numeracy skills for reporting and analysis, and financial acumen.
- Ability to collaborate, communicate with team members to establish goals.
