MARS Recruitment is partnering with a reputable Investment Manager in the search for a dynamic Senior Fund Accountant. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with tax and accounting functions for the Funds. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with fund administrator and custodian outsource providers, overseeing and reconciling their reporting, preparing management accounts, tax calculations, and compliance. Additionally, tasks involve quarterly and annual APRA reporting, year-end financial reporting, and daily oversight of superannuation unit prices.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare management accounts, tax calculations, and conduct reconciliations.
- Handle the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual APRA reports.
- Coordinate with fund administrators, custodians, and auditors throughout planning, audits, and deliverable completion.
- Lead year-end financial reporting, including drafting financial statements and assisting with relevant Board papers.
- Calculate annual tax provisions and submit them to the ATO.
- Provide daily oversight of superannuation unit prices based on investment strategy.
- Manage daily cashflow transactions and issue instructions to fund administrators and custodians.
- Compute investment management and administration fees and oversee payments.
- Cultivate strong relationships with fund administrator and custodian outsource providers to ensure accurate and timely fund accounting deliverables in accordance with SLAs.
- Reconcile fund administrator and custodian reports to verify the completeness and accuracy of third-party data.
- Support the Fund Accounting Manager - Superannuation with assigned projects.
Criteria:
- 5+ years of experience in fund accounting
- Superannuation funds experience required for this role
- CA/CPA qualified (or international equivalent)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines
