AddressNQM Gold 2 is an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer. Since 2009, NQM Gold 2 has developed, and operated assets spread throughout Western Australia and Queensland. Located south-west of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and currently employs around 250 people to run the underground mining and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and it offers all the facilities that you would expect in a large regional town.
We are experiencing a period of exciting growth at our Pajingo gold operation and currently seeking an experienced Mine Engineer on an 12/9 roster.
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in mining or civil engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in open pit and/or underground gold mining operations
- Extensive experience in mine operations
- Ability to anticipate future trends, probabilities and interpret consequences; to be able to execute long range planning
- Advanced project scheduling and budgeting capabilities together with strong communication, influencing and engagement skills
- Strong working knowledge of Australian mining regulations and the ability to interpret relevant legislation/code and its application in mine feasibility studies and development projects
- Demonstrated ability to deliver concise and clear presentations and reports for senior management
