This is a full-time position and is based in Cloncurry at the Great Australia Mine (GAM). The Role: The role will comprise both mine and office work with ongoing collaboration with the geology department. As part of a small geologist team, you will support and mentor the geologists and technicians to develop their skills and knowledge. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee, plan, co-ordinate and provide geological input to day-to-day mining activities. About you: As the Mine Geologist, you will have approx 2-5 years' experience, preferably in the quarry and mining sector. You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage people and resources. Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, the Mine Geologist will manage the mine geology and drilling teams to ensure all work is carried out in a safe, structured, and timely manner.
