Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager you will lead a team of mining engineers and be responsible for all aspects of developing and maintaining the mine plan for the operation.
Your scope will range from Life of Mine planning through to short term, operational planning. This role has a focus on the consistent delivery of the mine plan, continuous improvement in mining process costs and extraction of maximum value from the resource.

- Tertiary qualified (engineering degree or similar)
