About the opportunity:
With Westgold's expansion ambitions, we are seeking an experienced Mine Superintendent to float across all operations and play a pivotal role.
Working on a 7:7 roster you will have full responsibility for the underground operations team of underground shift supervisors and underground operational staff. You will reporting directly to the Underground Operations and General Manager. As the Mine Superintendent you will be responsible for the application of mine plans to ensure production targets are met safely and within budget.
What do I need?
- Strong problem solving, organisation and time management skills
- 8+ years underground mining experience
- Ability to mentor and guide new employees
- Incident reporting and investigations knowledge
- Proven ability to manage shift supervisors and underground crews
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Intermediate computer literacy with ability to use integrated management systems
- Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- WA Underground Shift Supervisor ticket
