Jetwave Marine Services, a leading provider of comprehensive maritime solutions, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marine Superintendent to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to oversee and manage port services operations, and our onshore facilities in Dampier. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Oversee port service operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Manage the Dampier Supply Base and oversee facility operations, including warehousing, inventory and logistics for company and client equipment.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including port authorities, shipping agents, clients, and internal teams, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and supervise a team of Mariners, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Monitor and manage budgets, expenses, and resources to achieve financial targets.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Resolve operational issues and address customer concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and implement best practices accordingly.
Applicants must have the following minimum experience and skills to be considered:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in port services operations and/or warehousing inventory and logistics
- Strong knowledge of port services operations, maritime regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team; be strong of character
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sound decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
The following qualifications are desirable for the position:
- Near Coastal Marine Master/Engineer.
- Certificate of Safety Training (COST).
- MR/HR Truck License.
- High Risk Work License - Basic Rigging.
- High Risk Work License - Non-Slewing Mobile Crane.
- Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
Residency in Karratha (inc. Dampier) is mandatory.
