KAEFER Integrated Services are currently looking for an SMP Superintendent for a newly awarded Project in the Pilbara Region.
The role will be on a 2/1 roster POH PERTH ONLY and on a fixed term contract for the duration of the project around 7/8 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all aspects of SMP installations, including structural steel, mechanical systems, and piping networks, across a construction project.
- Coordinate with project managers to develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets for SMP scopes of work.
- Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Liaise daily with the Project Manager in relation to the schedule and critical path items always focusing at days ahead;
- Provide direction to the shift Supervisor in relation to the critical path of the project;
- Track and report works progress to Key Stakeholders, both external and internal;
- Assist with key critical tasks and help up-skill our people on specialist tasks;
- Work closely with the Project Manager to identify inefficiencies and improvements with respect to safety, man hours and tool and gear during projects;
- Provide strong input and demonstrate a high level of ownership during the project planning phase;
- Work in collaboration with Project Manager, Project Controls and Workforce Planning to ensure effective project planning, scheduling and workforce planning is undertaken.
About You
- Relevant Qualification with a background in Structural or Piping preferred.
- Ability to effectively lead a team and provide continuous support.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to SMP systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to form relationships easily with internal and external stakeholders.
