ESS provides a home away from home for people working in remote mining villages and offshore on oil rigs. We provide hospitality solutions to ensure all guests are getting the comforts of home even in isolated locations. ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or "villages" for remote workers, providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal, a clean bed, freshly laundered workwear to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.
We are currently seeking experienced Cleaning Supervisors to commence at our Gorgon Village Accommodation, located northwest coast of WA on Barrow Island. Flights will depart from Perth, WA with a Permanent ongoing 14 Days On, 7 Days Off Roster with 11 Hour Days Paid. You will lead an established Cleaning team cleaning all communal buildings and facilities at the site. This includes bathrooms, toilets, crib rooms, waste removal, power substation cleaning and more. Successful applicants should be available to start in February 2024.
Key duties:
- Lead, train, supervise and motivate a large team of mine site cleaners and laundry staff
- Expand upon current cleaning processes and procedures to maintain the ESS standard of excellence
- Drive current cleaning processes and procedures and supervise reviews
- Support the running of the mine site operations by conducting inspections, completing audits, and undertaking Job Safety Analysis
- Unloading stock, sorting, and receipting delivered goods
- Collaborate with management to maintain procedures and actively engage in site safety culture
- Maintaining a positive relationship and good communications with internal stakeholders, (Residents, team members and managers)
- Experience in industrial cleaning, team lead/ supervisor, or similar operations
- Previous FIFO cleaning experience highly regarded
- Proven experience managing a team in a complex environment
- Successful record of upholding and implementing safety standards and practices
- Ability to work remotely on a fly in, fly out basis with an ongoing, permanent roster
- Valid Full C Class Driving Licence
- Provide a National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 12 months)
- Able to complete a Pre-Employment Medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening
