We are looking for chefs with experience working remotely, on mobile rigs or in Mining Camps to register with us. We supply temp chefs to minings camps, you are not obligated to accept any work offers and there are no contracted or guaranteed hours, so it is very flexible! We would contact you when requests for chefs come in, and can send you on a job if you are available.The CompanyOur client is a tier 1 contractor, that have been supplying mobile camp solutions to the world’s largest energy and resource companies across Australia for over 20 years. They are proud holders of the ISO 9001, 14001 and 4801 accreditations, which reflects in the working environment they create for their employees so everyone feels safe and secure when in camp.The RoleAs a site chef you will work across multiple camps in mine sites throughout Queensland including Toowoomba, Miles, Roma, and surrounding remote areas. You will be at each site for at least 1 week, with the maximum consecutive being 3 weeks, before you are flown home for break. As mentioned above, there are no contracted or guaranteed hours and you are not obligated to accept work, so it is flexible and can work around you and other work/ commitments that you have.Please note:Shifts are 12-hours and will consist of days or nights, dependant on the needs of the camp.
- Night Shift: Responsible for breakfast, crib (lunch), and desserts
- Day Shift: Dinner preparation, smoko, and desserts
- Bulk Catering buffet-style services with occasional made-to-order meals
- Manage cooking for camps ranging from 30-500 residents.
- Maintain a clean kitchen environment.
- Uniform: Long sleeve chef jacket, long pants, steel cap ankle-high boots.
- Tools: Own knives and tools of the trade.
- Previous experience in smaller camps and rigs.
