Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.
Roster:
8D6R7N7R – FIFO ex Perth or Busselton
Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, our Eliwana operations are seeking a suitably qualified, highly experienced Mining Coordinator. These positions will be responsible for the management and coordination of plant and human resources to meet or exceed the mine plan in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide input into mine planning processes to ensure practicality of mining plans
- Provide visible Fortescue Values leadership (lead by example) modelling and compliance with Fortescue Code of Conduct behaviours
- Provide and maintain safe systems of work in mining operational areas
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and provide effective feedback to work teams
- Coach, mentor and develop Mining Supervisors
- Manage short interval control process to drive Supervisor compliance to the mine plan
- Ensure compliance with HR management policies and procedures (leave, injury management, performance, etc.)
Qualifications and Experience
- WA Class HR Driver's Licence
- 3 years supervision in large scale mining environment
- Work closely with the planning team to develop and deliver to 24-hour and 2-week mine plans
- Support the mining supervisor in optimising/executing the plan.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite, SAP, BMS or similar data and reporting systems
- Knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection and OHS Act/Regs
- Unrestricted Quarry Manager's Ticket (desired not essential)
