About the Role:
Play a critical role in the strategic growth and development of this new mining operation in the Upper Hunter Region. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance for the PIMS Team across all project aspects. Reporting to the Mine Manager – Whynot Seam Operations this role is responsible for:
- Operating the mine with discipline and in compliance with the Management Operating System (MOS) to deliver safe and efficient production.
- Operating the Place Change production units in compliance with the Place Change Panel Standards.
- Planning, coordinating and scheduling all underground mining activities within the 13 week, monthly, weekly and daily operating plans.
- Leading, coaching and mentoring production crews to achieve benchmark underground mining standards and high levels of productivity.
- Contributing to the monitoring and reviewing of the effectiveness of the control measures within the Safety Management System to manage risk to health and safety.
- Owning and championing strong safety culture, embedding continuous improvement and enhancing our productivity programs.
- NSW Undermanager Certificate of Competency / Mutual Recognition,
- NSW Undermanager Practicing Certificate.
- Compliance to the learning hours requirement of the maintenance of competence scheme for practicing certificates.
- Mining of 5 years practical underground coal experience with prior experience in Bord and Pillar Mining and Pillar Extraction desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years practical underground coal experience in a similar role (Coordinator).
