About the Role:
WorkPac is actively recruiting for a Mining Engineer to join our esteemed client, Rio Tinto, on site in Paraburdoo. This is a FIFO role on an 8:6 roster, reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer. This role requires experience in mine design principals, the ability to interpret a mine plan, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Designing, scheduling and issuing work instructions for the completion of all mine development tasks required to support the weekly mine plan, including road design, land clearing, slope excavation design and drill area clean up.
Managing the interface between mine planning and mine operational execution
Daily mine planning
Mine development designs
Conformance to mine plan tracking
Skills and Experience Required:
Demonstrated open pit mining experience with exposure to mine development and/or drill and blast
Strong software skills across Maptek Valcan, Microsoft Office
Promoting health and safety initiatives and displaying a positive safety culture.
Strong communication and proven experience in working well with teams.
C Class Drivers Licence.
