AddressWe have an opportunity for a Mining Engineer with Medium Term Planning experience to work for our client based in the Bowen Basin. Working on an open cut coal mine we are particularly interested to talk with those who are inclined towards career progression and personal development.
Reporting to the Medium/Long-Term Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for developing Medium Term designs for the truck and shovel, dragline and rehabilitation operations on site. You will coordinate and work with other departments, tying in all aspects of mine planning to ensure plans can be implemented safely. You will meet stakeholder requirements, making sure they are delivered in a timely manner and achieve critical business objectives. This role will involve regularly communicating plans to stakeholders and collaboration with various other team members.
Objectives:
- Medium Term Planning.
- Production budgets and scheduling.
- Update the monthly forecast.
- Guide the Short-Term Planner to produce the general mine overview schedule.
- Investigate and analyse technical advancements and industry achievements in the Mining Engineering field.
- Utilise the technical knowledge and practical application of Mining Engineering techniques to assist other members of the team.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Mining Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in design and planning.
- Proficiency in Mine Design and Scheduling packages (such as Vulcan, Deswik, Spry or similar)
- Open Manual ‘C’ Class Drivers license.
- Australian working rights.
