Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Mining Manager to join Foxleigh's Senior Leadership Team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading a safe and productive mining department. This position involves managing all onsite mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal resource extraction. You will lead a team of skilled mining professionals, driving outcomes aligned with our company goals and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead mining operational teams, including pre-strip, production, mine services, drill, and blast.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize asset value and achieve production targets.
- Ensure compliance with Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulations and Act.
- Foster a cost-management culture to meet or reduce unit costs.
- Oversee Health & Safety management, including ICAM investigations and incident reporting.
- Implement professional development and succession planning for direct reports.
- Create and monitor plans to achieve annual KPIs.
- Promote technical improvements for better outcomes.
- Manage key projects to meet time and budget goals.
- Oversee contract management in line with company and contractor obligations.
About You:

- Strong commercial acumen, including a sound understanding of budgetary and financial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and time management skills.
- The capacity to interpret strategic plans at the operational level.
- Ability to achieve outcomes across various business levels through influence and persuasion.
- Methodical, accurate, and timely preparation of data, report writing, and management information.
- OCE and/or SSE qualifications are desirable.
