School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
As the Ministerial and Parliamentary Communications (MPC) manager, you play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Manager by crafting high-level, evidence-based responses on school asset-related communications. This includes ministerial, parliamentary, and executive communications, Government Information and Public Access (GIPA) Act applications, as well as contributing to Ministerial and executive reporting, including Annual Reports and statutory reporting.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Relevant experience in a similar position reviewing and analysing complex and large volumes of information to provide high quality, strategic advice and response in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the Department’s Senior Executives and Deputy Premier’s office.
- Strong ability to manage self and work well independently and as part of a team.
- A keen attention to detail and ability to monitor and handle a high-volume workload to successfully manage evolving priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to allocate, monitor, and deliver high-quality ministerial, parliamentary, executive, and media communications, meeting all deadlines.
- Strong policy acumen to provide sound advice on school asset-related matters, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills to foster collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring communication accuracy and consistency.
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience within communications policy
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
