Purpose of the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop and implement strategic plans that resonate with our employees and stakeholders. From internal communications to community care programs, you will lead initiatives that embody our values and strengthen our corporate identity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Internal Communications ANZ: Develop and execute strategic internal communication plans in alignment with company values and goals. Foster collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure effective messaging across all platforms, delivered with a Trans-Tasman Approach.
- Values Award Program (VAP): Lead the development and implementation of our annual Values Award Programs, promoting alignment with company philosophy and culture. Drive strategic thinking to enhance employee engagement and recognition and take a lead role in the annual community service trip.
- Annual Reporting: Oversee the compilation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and annual reporting data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives. Prepare materials for distribution and support CEO for Annual General Meeting.
- Reconciliation Action Plan: Assist in the development, submission and implementation of Sanitarium’s Reconciliation Action Plan including the liaison with RAP working and advisory groups.
- Media, Issues & Crisis Management: Manage media inquiries and crisis communication, maintaining the integrity of Sanitarium's reputation. Coordinate media training for spokespersons and ensure timely responses to online interactions.
- Community Care Management: Develop strategies and budgets for community care initiatives, overseeing implementation and partnership development. Ensure meaningful impact and alignment with organizational values.
- Budget and Report Management: Preparation of annual budgets and departmental reports, with ongoing responsibility to monitor and manage spend aligned with approved budgets.
Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to develop and implement internal communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Comfortable in a consulting role, offering valuable communication solutions.
- Resourceful and solutions-focused, with a keen eye for detail. Able to translate concepts into effective communication materials.
- Strong leadership and influence abilities, capable of motivating and developing team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality materials and provide robust recommendations.
- Adept at working collaboratively across departments, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of communication programs. Ability to negotiate, influence and build strong relationships.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in relevant roles, with a focus on strategic communication and stakeholder management.
- Proven strategic capability and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in CSR communication and brand building.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
