About the Role:
We currently have Multiple Opportunities Available for the role of Ministerial Liaison Officers within the Office of the Deputy Premier.
A Ministerial Liaison Officer works at the core of government decision making by ensuring that relevant portfolio agencies are able to support the Deputy Premier to progress and deliver the South Australian government’s agenda. This is achieved by keeping abreast of issues relevant to the Deputy Premier's ministerial portfolios and providing expert consultation and engagement with a wide-range of key internal and external stakeholders, including other ministerial offices and Members of Parliament.
These unique roled work collaboratively with other Ministerial Liaison Officers (both internal, and within other ministerial offices) to ensure documentation and information requests are well researched, accurate and meet the requirements of both the relevant departments and the Deputy Premier. The incumbent demonstrates a high-level of political awareness in providing support to the Deputy Premier, ministerial staff, and relevant portfolio agencies. The role will also be required to triage and respond to complex enquiries, both written and verbal, attend and participate in meetings with the Deputy Premier, ministerial staff, agency staff and external stakeholders.

Contract: Contracts up to 24 April 2026
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
- Out of hours work may be required.
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. Remuneration: ASO7 - $106,512 min - $115,137 max p.a.
