Harness Energy RTO 40521 is one of Australia's leading Registered Training Organisations specialising in the design, delivery, and management of training solutions. Harness Energy operates training facilities in Brisbane, Gladstone, Perth and Papua New Guinea. We also deliver and manage on-site training and Labour Hire for some of the largest companies and projects throughout the world. We specialise in training and assessment and Labour Hire for the Construction, Mining & Energy Resources, Oil & Gas, Engineering and Logistics sectors.
About the role
These roles will join the Harness Energy team reporting directly to the Operations Manager in Perth-Belmont and Mining on-site personnel. You will be responsible for delivering and developing quality training to operators in accordance with all relevant company policies and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.
Due to an increase in demand for our high-quality training, we are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Mining and Energy Mobile PlantTrainer & Assessor.
Successful candidates may be able to train and deliver Plant Operations such as:
  1. Production Excavator (Hitachi EX3600, Komatsu PC5500)
  2. Dozer (CAT D9-D11)
  3. Grader (CAT 16M & CAT24M).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training and Assessment - Delivering nationally recognised qualifications;
  • Contribute to the development of programs and resource materials;
  • Participate in moderation and validation activities;
  • Provide ongoing support to learners.
  • Verification of Competencies

About you
To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for training and working with learners, employers, and industry stakeholders. Able to deliver workplace-based training and assessment on a variety of mine sites across the Pilbara region.
Learners may differ from more experienced workers in the industry to young new starters.

Mandatory Requirements for Training and Assessing
Must Hold:
  • Hold TAE40122 / TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment OR TAE40110 (including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 or equivalent; OR hold Diploma TAE;
  • Experience in Mobile Plant Operations;
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills;
  • Experience in supporting learners with LLN challenges;
  • Ability to work autonomously with little supervision;
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work FIFO rosters.
Desirable:
  • Experience in working remotely on mine sites
