Address BACKGROUND
The Money Management Workers role is to ensure that individuals and families are supported to maximise economic and social outcomes by engaging them in a process that builds their financial literacy and money management capacity.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To contribute to the company’s overall performance by assisting the team in the provision of the following to clients:
1. Financial literacy education, access to financial services information and case management support.
2. Development of good money practices, improved living standards and well-being by assisting in improving financial literacy and the ability of people to manage their money better.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Undertake administration duties as directed to support the Director and/or other staff.
2. Contribute to regular team meetings to identify work priorities and areas for improvement.
3. Maintain knowledge of indigenous cultural support services available in the community
4. Conduct self-analysis of skills deficiencies and report training needs to the Director.
5. Carry out other duties as requested by the Director within the scope of the incumbent’s skills, experience and/or qualifications.
THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN REQUIRED SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
1. Sound time management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise workloads
2. Understanding of the issues associated with working in a remote/isolated location
3. Good attention to detail and sound analytical skills
4. Understanding of Indigenous Australians and a well-developed knowledge of issues & barriers that they may face
5. Information Technology skills including the ability to learn new software and industry specific applications in a timely manner

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience working with Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and/or people from disadvantaged socio-economic groups
• CHCSS00077 Financial Literacy Education Skill Set or ability and willingness to obtain within first year of employment
• Experience in using Microsoft Office Applications
• NT Drivers Licence
• Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).
