What you do:Reporting to the Senior Manager, Risk, Quality & Control the Advisor, Operational
Monitoring & Supervision ensures accurate and timely completion of all activities as part of their function. This role will focus on internal monitoring and supervision activities across the value chain, leading to operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities include:- Facilitate and conduct all monitoring and supervision activities and audits internal/external
- Review and examine all relevant records, reports, operating practices, and documentation supporting an audit
- Perform root cause analysis and track on recommendations and actions for completions
- Support the Senior Manager, Risk, Quality & Control to establish appropriate processes and tools for the control testing, monitoring and supervision function
- Finalise reviews in accordance to all relevant legislations, International standards, industry guidelines, policies and procedures (both external and internal)
- Ensure accurate record keeping and provide appropriate level of information
- Prepare final reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure remediation plan is established
- Monitor progress of remediation plan and ensure completion
- Escalate any findings, potential breaches to the Senior Manager, Risk, Quality & Control within required timeframes and facilitate prompt actions
- Provide recommendations to management for ongoing improvements
- Complete control testing, closed file review, exception report monitoring and any Adhoc reviews to ensure that any identified process is appropriately monitored and measured.
- Support documentation of the team's processes in accordance with the Process and Control Governance Framework
- Promote and monitor adherence to the Process and Control Governance Framework. Recommend recovery actions and monitor leakage through control testing
- Contribute to improvement initiatives and projects
- Respond to Customer Information requests within the relevant timeframes
As the successful candidate for this role, you will be able to show:Industry Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in internal and/or external auditor or control function experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
- Demonstrated experience with monitoring of assistance, sales, claims and/or compliance functions
- Previous experience in the field of Quality Assurance (or ability to gain skills)

- Demonstrated ability to make decisions swiftly and put decisions into practical use.
- Demonstrated ability to interrogate a problem and develop processes that engage and educate staff
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking as part of the problem solving analysis

- RG146 certification (desired)
- ISO 9001:2015 experience (desired)
