Our APAC team is currently looking for an experienced Mooring Technician to join our team full-time in Karratha.
Local candidates are highly favoured, however Delmar is open to FIFO candidates (3:3 roster) who possess suitable experience.
About the role:
Assisting the Base Manager in daily yard duties such as mooring equipment maintenance, equipment mobilisation/demobilisation and logistics. Where required, this role involves offshore work-related activities to mooring installation, recovery and rig move operations.

What will you be doing?
The day-to-day activities will include:
- Assisting the Base Manager in daily yard activities
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Dispatching of equipment as specified by the Equipment List or Order
- Preparing equipment for load-out
- Receiving, controlling, banding, marking and storage of equipment at the base in line with Company and industry standards
- Mobilising/Demobilising of equipment to/from the vessel at the quayside
- Updating and maintaining the asset management system, where required
- Creating and reporting equipment loading list/cargo manifest prior to mobilisation and demobilisation
- Participate in operations offshore as required
- Familiarity with mandatory inspections, certifications, and reporting
- Equipment handling and connecting offshore on an anchor-handling vessel
- Ensure procedures and best work practices are being followed throughout the installation and maintenance process
- Ensuring the high standards of housekeeping are maintained at all worksites
The successful Applicant will have:
- Offshore Mooring Knowledge / Experience
- Rigging Experience and Qualification
- Forklift Experience and Qualification
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, acoustical, and/or computer-based equipment
- General Knowledge of assembly drawings
- Up to date on all marine and oilfield regulatory training courses with required documentation
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and standards of the offshore industry
- A high level of responsibility and accountability
- Effective interpersonal communication skills for working with others in a variety of situations
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Reader, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
- Must be willing to travel and work offshore
