What You’ll Be Working On

You will have the opportunity to lead, inspire and manage the Community Services team to achieve the outcomes identified in Council’s Community Strategic Plan, MOSPLAN.

Your day to day will involve overseeing the planning and delivery of services as well as supporting, collaborating  and partnering with other local and regional services to enrich the lives of Mosman residents, across all age groups and abilities.

You will also proactively monitor and respond to changes in local demographics, community needs and government policy, particularly as they relate to the delivery of Community Services in Mosman, and provide advice and recommendations to Council as appropriate.

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

To be successful in this role you will have relevant tertiary qualifications with a commitment to keeping knowledge current and at least 5 years’ relevant experience.

You will be skilled in the ability to think and plan strategically, with demonstrated experience in successfully translating plans into action, and getting high quality results for local communities.

In addition, you will hold ample project management skills, and experience in corporate governance, budgeting and risk management.

You will be an inspiring leader with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills coupled with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and experience in leading and facilitating collaborative and consultative processes.

In addition, you will hold a current Working with Children Check and be willing to undergo a National Criminal Record Check undertaken through Council.
