Job description

  • Permanent, part-time position (0.6 FTE - 3 days per week)
  • Band 7 $104,698 + 11% Superannuation (pro rata) 
  • Doncaster location

About the Role

We are looking for a people person with a passion for the natural environment and the ability to work across the organisation to:

  • Provide strategic advice to support Council’s ambition of maintaining a healthy, resilient and thriving natural environment.
  • Enable a long term view of project delivery and thinking particularly with relevance to decisions for Manningham’s ‘Green Wedge.’
  • Review and develop policies and plans to ensure the continued caring for Country approach and mindset applied at Manningham.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Ability to supervise casual staff, contractors and consultants, as required.
  • Ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and influence positive outcomes for the natural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to prepare concise and accurate reports.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a diverse and dynamic team.
