Motel Receptionist

Merewether Motel is a busy 4 star property located in the beach suburb of Merewether, and our sister property Fern Bay Motel is located 15 mins from Newcastle. We are looking for a casual front of house receptionist who can work at both properties, someone who is a great communicator, has an outgoing and friendly personality, who is punctual and reliable. This position will consist of approx. 21 hours per week. The hours are from 2pm - 9pm on a 7 day week roster, with some day shifts required on weekends. 

Duties Include, but are not limited to:

• Checking guests in and out
• Answering the phone, taking reservations, answering emails
• Reconciling daily transactions, preparing tax invoices etc.
• Managing accounts
• Delivering and collecting room service
• Cooking breakfasts 
• General Cleaning and assisting house keepers when required
• Any other duties that maybe required to keep the motel clean & tidy
• Current RSA is required

Prior motel experience is preferable but not essential. Training will be provided to the right candidate. So if you would like to enter the hospitality industry, this is a great opportunity for you!
